Southern View Energy is proud to showcase our most recent install. This install is very special and unique in nature as its the first of its kind. We are the first solar install company to use the Zep racking system. This is a new and revolutionary racking system for the solar industry. Check back soon for more information on this recent project!
Getting Power from the Sun: Southern View Energy completes first solar PV installation for Jackson EMC
The first solar homeowners (who prefer to remain anonymous) from Jackson EMC knew what they needed in a lot for their dream home – room to garden, near water and south orientation. Nestled on a heavily wooded hilltop overlooking a stream, the home’s south-facing roof top supports 36 solar panels to make electricity. Continue reading Southern View Energy completes Jackson EMC’s first solar PV installation…
A bill proposed in Congress last week would aim to install solar photovoltaic systems on millions of roofs across the country over the next decade.
Introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Rep. Steve Cohen, D- Tenn., the measure would offer rebates to cover up to half the cost of 10 million new solar arrays and 200,000 solar water-heating systems.
The goal would be to install up to 30,000 megawatts of new solar-electric production capacity, a total about 50 percent higher than the extremely ambitious solar plans that have been announced in China and India in recent months. Continue reading Bill Calls for Federal Solar Rebates…
A colleague recently sent me this article about how China was going Green. And I thought to myself, well of course they are, they are growing exponentially and are advancing in a third of the time as any other country. It only seems fitting that China is the largest producer of Solar panels and now plans on leading the World in Installed Solar capacity. This is just another example of how China is not only a world leader, but is leading the world in the direction of our future. Here is the article! Take a look!

Worried about Strength of Solar Panels?
I wish that I could say that I have been hard at work researching everything solar from cost, to new technologies, and beyond, but there is not enough time in the day to do all of my own research concerning the advancements that the Solar Industry is making. However, there are those out there that have the resources to do just that. And of course I want to make you all aware of the wonderful findings they run across so that my readers are the most knowledgeable and savy in the industry.
One of my most recent findings was pertaining to the most crucial part of my industry, Cost. Apparently we are moving closer and closer to grid parity, which means cost are drastically coming down with each new day, week, and year. From installation to product cost the industry is getting better and more efficient at what we do. Here is the link to read more about how we are moving closer to grid parity and free solar power. I hope you enjoy and share the news that the cost of solar is not out of your reach. So go out and share the word about what Solar is doing, I know I will.
It is wonderful to see a large utility making a difference in the enviroment and changing their mix of electricity generation. Of course this requires a lot of planning and dedication, but the end result is the tremendous benefits to the people that Duke Energy services. This also sets a standard for all other large utilities to step up and be accounted for. A pat on the back is deserved for Duke Energy and Southern View Energy stands up and applaudes. Thank you, otherwise we are left with the production of electricity to plants such as this one.
